Definitely not unsettling. Very bonkers though. I do remember getting the bus to Stafford to buy "Life's Too Good" (in orange) shortly after release. And they were bloody marvellous at Digbeth Irish Centre. Can't believe it is 38 years ago.

Blog update: The Sugarcubes were by no means the first Icelandic group to enter the NME Indie Chart, but they were the first to top it - and "Birthday" became a lingering presence for months afterwards. Is it just me who finds it unsettling though?
