My very personal reflection on the use of AI in social science, perhaps the first of many. yiqingxu.substack.com/p/ai-disarray
I highly recommend The Vertigo Years: Europe 1900-1914 by Philipp Blom. It is a great overview of a time when rapid technological, social, demographic, and political change led to the explosion of masculine backlash and strange ideologies.

Great discussion about the global governance of AI at Johannes Geith's thesis defense! Extremely timely and important research.

I am really happy to share that on 12 June, I successfully defended my PhD dissertation in political science.
The defence was a lot of fun. This was in large part because of my great opponent, @henrikseeberg.bsky.social , who initiated a challenging and intellectually engaging discussion.
