We saw a chook vacating the new spot this morning so we have the tea for now. But I'm still walking around vaguely smelling rotting egg every now and again.
Urgh.

All of which to mean gathering eggs is a game of hide and seek that sometimes we lose.
When that happens, we find a big stash of rotten eggs. Which happened to me this morning.
We have feral chickens. They don't like to stay in one area, they like to roam. They roam all around the compound. And they hate laying in boxes.
Their preference is to lay wherever the heck they want. When one finds a good spot, they all lay there til they decide not to and find a new one.

My belly has shrunk, but inside I'm an increasingly angry fat lady. And I always will be.
Interesting how in 2026 people feel it's ok to comment on my health, but avoid speaking about my weight (which is actually what they mean). Like fuck off. My weightloss could be cancer. And really what it has uncovered for me is how little people actually care about the actual health of fat people.
