Tomorrow and Sunday I'll be playing audio here from around the world as part of 'if trees were lone women what would they sound like in Aarhus'. As well as the audio already received I'm doing a 24 hour call-out for audio from women (inclusive) and NB people from anywhere in the world, details below
At home, stuck in the Nth hell of illness, itβs been a powerful good to think of this playing elsewhere today thanks to Clare.
Made yesterday, from bed, using nearby things (voice, zither, shruti box, 1970s, BBC records & a copy of this)
Pan As In Nap (9mins41)

The first one I got was spoken word and field recordings, words in Polish. The second was from Australia, dog walking field recordings. Give it a go.
So grateful that thanks to Clare & βif trees were lone women what would they sound likeβ (in its 3rd incarnation here), a little of my words/voice has travelled the world with a community of women/NB collaborators. (Galloway, Peru, Denmark)
Any questions, feel free to email me. It's a very cool site and you don't need to know anything about audio other than how to work your phone and send a file. No rules other than relates to being amongst trees alone.

It has become a bit of a ritual to play the camera shutter sound that @moragperkinsphoto.com recorded for Galloway Forest in 2021 at the point where people enter the installation space. Always a huge talking point.

Unsettling people in forests since 2021, apparently...
