I was exposed to network television nightly news tonight for the first time in many years, and I have no idea how they select the potpourri of items they present, but not a single one of them was useful to fostering an informed citizenry.
No one is asking my opinion but if it were me I wouldn’t run right into members of the opposing team. I would definitely run around them.

When I was a grad student I started a paper about premodern forms of forgery bc I came across recipes for making “false azure.” Turns out “false azure” is just Middle English for “light blue,” which I figured out. Using AI for research in languages one has insufficient knowledge of sounds A+.
