I don't know why I'm doing this to myself, but I'm listening to the new Darkthrone. They've never made an album I liked, but I keep trying anyway. Maybe this one will be the one that finally makes me understand why so many people worship this band.
Moving on to another 2026 release from an OG black metal band that I actually like.

I love this album so much. There are so many killer musicians involved, but I gotta say, Tyler's bass is booming, driving, brutal, and catchy as hell.

Shout out to these 2 guys who have the entire balcony to themselves.
I tried to go join them, because they seemed fun (and I'm old and wouldn't mind sitting down) and the balcony is completely gated off. These guys somehow snuck up there and are making the most of it
Pre-show beers with my favorite dorky dads, Dischordia. Fallujah, Imperial Triumphant, and BTBAM coming up
This album might as well have been scientifically created in a lab to appeal to me specifically.
