Tonight we've got the fifth Teen Agers film, with a new director but the same old teens. By which I mean most of them are approaching 30.
Sarge Goes to College (1947)
Sarge Goes to College (dir. Will Jason) is the fifth movie in the Teen Agers series, and the first not to be directed by Arthur Dreifuss. It feels like a bit of a return to form after Vacation Days, which was more of a generic Western comedy and missed some of the musical variety of the earlier films. Having graduated High School at the beginning of the previous film, the Teen Agers - Freddie (Freddie Stewart), Dodie (June Preisser), Roy (Frankie Darro), Betty (Noel Neill), and Lee (Warren Mills) - are now at San Juan Community College.
