NIMBYs can't stop themselves from saying the quiet part out loud. They don't want affordable housing. They want that parking lot to stay a parking lot.
They didn't want a park next to the library either 🤷🏽♂️

My inspiration for our @aadl.org #SummerGame code happened to be doing what the sign says. Learn this goofy orange cat’s name if you see our sign!
When we were *getting* a splash pad. Blaming my children for asking me roughly 30 questions a minute today on this missing word post.
Watching #a2schoolboard is increasingly frustrating. A lot of comments seem to think #a2schools is just not paying the teachers enough to be mean.
Loss of enrollment year over year, something I’ve been saying since 2020, is why! Build more housing, get more students. Rightsize as necessary.
3) Over-reliance on screens and shitty Chromebooks in the classroom since 2020 that so many parents hate. 4) not acknowledging that we have this loss in enrollment and need to rightsize until recently
Missteps #a2schools had that did not help what was always going to be lower student enrollments due to lower birth rates: 1) among the longest building closures in the state during COVID 2) announcing the end of before and after care in 2021 (walked back after pressure, still not in all schools)
It’s happening!!!! #a2council
From Mayor Taylor being mildly annoyed that we asked when we were a splash pad to the (only ~6 years later) reality! SPLASH PAD!!!
