I think people in sonic fangame communities only see the 8bit sonic games as something to be replaced with a "better experience" as opposed as something to iterate on which is a little lame. Like there are countless examples of genesis/mania styled sonic games we do not need more of them.

Dude Im so sick of how people are talking about Toby Fox, he gave the best explanation anyone could possibly give when it comes to official translations of undertale. Like theres not a lot of people in his position that would encourage unofficial fan translations of his own work.
