I forgot I did this, and going back to see it again is so cool considering how far I've gone in my voice acting career. Mephisto is one of my favorite Arknights characters and the raw emotions from him in this scene were tough to capture and it makes me cry every time.
yeah I hear that, seeing Pathfinders progression was one of the big things I was looking forward to when the latest Laterano story was announced and I was disappointed it just kinda showed up to be put in a box and tucked away in a story about a lot of the issues their group represented
Yeah, I will say I did like the new NPCs and *their* theming/writing throughout the story, I feel like that was done very well. But I just wish we got to see the characters we already knew do some of that exploring. Patia was even a bit of design inspiration for the OC I use, lol.

And it probably *is* but man if it doesn't require a whole mindset shift.

Flamingo operator has a completely different hair color in every skin. They SAY that the color shift is because of the food they eat and they have a travelling foodie thing going on alongside Croissant and expense their meals as 'research' by reporting bodily changes to RI medical.
There are some characters that have a little bit of dissonance with the idea of deploying them into active combat like we do in stages.
Then there are characters where you just kinda nod and go 'Yeah, they're okay being involved in this.'
(The pop idol is still my favorite example of the latter)
