I know this is hopelessly naive but I genuinely never thought so many people would be comfortable using a website designed to help coordinate fascist activity.
This is bibliographic erasure.
By framing a forced correction as internal discovery, journals turn critics into "invisible correctors", scrubbing their labor from the record. It might protect a brand, but kills scientific rigour.
We need a system that cites its critics, not one that buries them.
