So I am reading Girls Like Girls to prep for the movie later. And like what is this sentence given the Blurpleness in the taylor universe.
"Those periwinkle nails of hers, not quite purple, not quite blue: a question mark of a color for a question mark of a girl."
Keeping my lips zipped but I can't wait till more of you have seen it. So good!
Between seeing Stop That Train earlier this week and going to see Leviticus and Girls Like Girls back to back today, I will have seen 3 queer/gay movies this week and that just makes me happy.
Girls Like Girls will be my chaser after Leviticus since I'm not the biggest horror fan.
Loved them both but gosh there was a social dynamic part in Girls like Girls that was more internal horror from lived experience than the (immaculately executed) metaphorical use of horror in Leviticus.
The ungodly amount of patience that Taylor has had to develop in order to lay her plans and wait as they are slowly completed is mind bogglingly impressive. Like if I buy someone a really good gift I have a hard time not telling them about it because I'm just so goddamn excited.
I did notice a plushy cactus π΅ on one of the girl's night stands in Girls Like Girls. Taylor's motifs haunt me haha.
