Today, June 20, is World Refugee Day - a prompt to honour the courage of my grandmother and the resilience of my mother and aunts, who came to this country as refugees. I can never repay Canada for welcoming them, nor Alberta, for allowing them to flourish. #WorldRefugeeDay
