I'd imagine a man your age goes to bed early more often than not, but I think you'd really enjoy the Padres radio broadcast. Gwynn's son has a voice made for radio, and the PBP guy Adler is excellent.

Music genres are by nature such slippery bullshit, but the best "britpop" band was either Cornershop or Elastica. Too bad the UK press narrowed the definition of britpop until it was as inbred as that island's royal family.

Thanks for taking the time to read it. I think Fogerty's magic has something to do with making the strange feel familiar and the familiar feel strange.
I loved this piece when it came out and still love it today. His exclusion on that recent NYT songwriter list pissed me off so much I wrote this thing you might enjoy.
