The climate crisis is real. We should be pushing for renewables. Instead, the world's largest banks have committed nearly $1 trillion to the fossil fuel industry. Our country, our way of life, the very planet we call home, is being held to ransom by bankers. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

I find it a little galling that the public funds what is effectively an advertising campaign for Westpac. Ditto Ronald McDonald House

Simeon Brown thinks it’s okay to waste up to a billion dollars of taxpayer money on a terminal NZ clearly does not need but using taxpayer money to make PT more affordable for everyone is ‘wasteful’. “Officials redacted advice showing 'low need' or no need for LNG imports”

Possibly my hottest take is that every time I hear someone whine about speed cameras all I hear is "I routinely drive faster than the speed limit and I don't think I should suffer any consequences for it"

Not even four years after Gabrielle. RNZ keeps amplifying anti-civil defense rhetoric for places who were affected. It's always an overreaction and a waste of money till it isn't. #nzpol

LNG import terminal will make NZ energy more expensive, more polluting, less reliable. It is a desperate attempt to lock us into fossil fuels. No wonder they are trying to hide the evidence: Officials redacted advice showing 'low need' for LNG imports www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Bishop really grabbing at straws here which are easily deflated - it is way too rich for a minister already spending massive amounts more on small stretches of road….this policy will help ease the cost of living. Get a grip Bish! #bhn #nzpol www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Unpopular opinion but if you work and contribute to the economy in New Zealand you should be afforded the same basic rights as everyone else including a path to living here normally because you are a person who deserves dignity SORRY FUCKING NOT SORRY FOR MY CORRECT OPINION.
Westpac NZ is gonna make about a billion dollars in profit this year and still begs for donations for the chopper appeal. It’s a worthy cause but they could just fund it. Profits are stupid in the face of human lives.
