I retreated politely and stopped chopping at the ivy, once I'd spotted it (and taken a photo), just in case it was still inhabited. Don't want to disturb our unexpected neighbours more than necessary.

Work Christmas meal in a pub yesterday. Anyone want to vote on if it was late for last Christmas or early for the next one? 😂
It also happened to fall in Volunteer Appreciation Week, so I suspect we should just have gone with that!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a cloud app? Something that would identify clouds and tell me about them, like Merlin does for birds? When I google for cloud apps, I mainly get online storage suggestions.
Tagging @drlucyrogers.com because clouds are definitely things that are Up.

Ironing some big pieces of fabric for a sewing project.... That may not have been my best ever plan, on the hottest day of the year so far.
Our garden got a bit overgrown last year and the ivy made a decent attempt at swallowing up the bird table. When I cleared it yesterday, I found out someone had rather been taking advantage of the situation!
I suspect it was last spring, not this one, it doesn't look recently lived in. #TinyJoys
