We really shouldn’t defend inefficient process but CA in part takes longer to count bc they are very liberal w/ voting access (which is good) and being liberal w/ voting access can cause delays in voting count (which we saw *nationwide* in 2020 w/ absentee access) So we have to accept a trade off

Why? Other than Republican conspiracism there is no actual problem with taking the time to accurately count votes. The general election is in four months!

A rare bad take here! It’s day 10 and there’s no reason the results shouldn’t be complete by now, even with a state as big and voter-friendly as CA. If we’re in November and we’re waiting this long to know House control, that is a bad outcome
