It's very strange *not* drawing on the weekends. I'm not quite sure what to do with myself, aha.
I haven't really finished a piece in a few weeks which is kind of disappointing. Doodles aside, it's been a struggle for time with commissions. I think most of them are pushed out far enough not to be an issue but drawing on weekdays for more than an hour is impossible.
A Zhu Kylin sorcerer cast their Arts upon a lake to allow its surface to manifest lightning, and the lake became an electrocuting barrier against the beast attempting to wade across. This famous lake was later named as the Leichi (雷池)—

The "Thunderous Lake," and although its exact location could no longer be pinpointed, it has a cultural significance to the Yanese such as the proverb, "to never cross the thunderous lake" (不敢越雷池一步), meaning "to never cross over the designated limit."
The skills she uses are the Lei Fa, a specific type of lightning arts that's passed down through specific clans. One of them is the zhu (祝) clan. Which Fangyi is probably related to. There's actually an interesting tale behind the Lei Fa too.
There was some speculation about Zhuang Fangyi being a Sui sibling but now that we officially have her race, she's actually closer in line with Leizi, from OG Arknights.
She's a Kylin which makes her a noble. Definitely fits her "good girl from a prominent family" vibe. It's very popular.
