Of course, now she's old enough that I'm giving her my favorite Stephen King, just like my mom gave me The Shining when I was about her age.
The majority of humans have lived in cities throughout our history and nobody's farming in London or Tokyo or Buenas Aires.
Our favorite book was "I Want My Hat Back" by Jon Klassen. I used to be able to recite it from memory.
There is a reason that the VAST majority of humanity for the VAST majority of our history hasn't tried to survive off of subsistence farming.

Okay, he's done.
The longer I am a parent, the more I'm convinced that far too many people don't actually *like* their children.
Please excuse my gross wet palette (I have new sponges, and I'll give everything a thorough cleaning after this project is done) but I really have to give a huge shout out to Pro Acryl's metallic medium. Not having to buy specialty paints– or jury rig a paint + contrast– is a game changer.
