#OTD in 1943, 26 British POWs escaped from Stalag Luft III, the "delousing break". This is a search warrant for three of them. Flying Officer Stower was murdered by the Gestapo on 31 March 1944 after being recaptured after failure of the Great Escape. #WW2 #HISTORY
