That said, this kind of public rebuke from a (terrible, small man who happens to be a) senior official is a noteworthy departure from the usual leaked “we’re really really mad at Bibi and yelled at him on the phone but aren’t going to actually do anything” nonsense

To be clear “potus big mad at Bibi” is old and hackneyed, esp because potus (all of them) never actually do anything beyond express strategic frustration.
