Since we just came out of #netsci2026 it's a good opportunity to find about every network science starter packs out there. Thankfully starterpacks search engines are here to cut down that work.

1. New #Ebola numbers from DRC's National Institute of Public Health:
— 18 new confirmed cases on 6/3; that brings the confirmed case count to 381. Two more deaths puts the death toll among confirmed cases at 64. Seven people have been deemed cured (+1).
— 55.5% of case contacts are being followed.

On May 22 WHO reported 1 more #hantavirus case linked to the MV Hondius, while some high-risk contacts are still being located. We estimated that heterogeneous isolation + uncertainty on pre-sympt transmission leave a non-negligible risk of secondary clusters. Work led by @eugeValdano.
As discussions on Ebola and border controls intensify, it is important to go back to what available scientific evidence actually shows.
In @lefigaro.fr, I discuss what we learned from past Ebola epidemics and travel restrictions.
