Yep. Time for @brumgreens.bsky.social and Lib Dems to do a review of the Brum CAZ and if it's working (it is a bit) then enhance it. City wide resident parking permits & workplace parking levy too. Prevent disease, boost growth & productivity & protect the NHS (bonus = provides skint city £££).
Get your city some leaders that care enough about the children in your community to do this outside your local school.
We need to rename all cycle parking as "Cycle Protection"! and check out those padded dividers!? ❤️
Will be recommending these for HS2...and need some for my garage!
Children’s independence, safer streets and more playful, child-friendly cities all go hand in hand. Great to see local charity @roamkids.bsky.social pushing this conversation forward.
They’re hosting an event in Brum on 3 July exploring these ideas further 👇

For reasons, I was looking up residents' parking permit costs in Amsterdam East this week.
€200 for the first permit and €500 for the second. Oh, and that's for 6 months, not a year.
If you are near the district centre, you can have one permit; two permits elsewhere.
There is no waiting list!
With the full caveat that I have never managed a govt dept, as Wes Streeting knows very well having been health secretary, investment in active travel *pays for itself many times over* in better public health outcomes etc. Cutting investment is often a false economy, as the UK knows to its cost.
