The annual department uitje is a wonderful tradition; a one-day trip to explore the countryside around Groningen. This yearβs destination: Schiermonnikoog! A day at the beach, but as you can seeβ¦ academic discussions never stop! ππ
As a success- and eventful year comes to a close, we would like to extend warm holiday greetings to all colleagues and friends. In December, we said goodbye to our guest researcher Sophie Bro Mikkelson and went to our traditional kerst dinner. We look forward to meeting you all again in 2026!
We are so proud of our very own @gesakuebek.bsky.social for being awarded the NWO Veni grant for her project 'ShEUtrades'. βββ
Our department took a trip to New York for the workshop 'New Research in European Public Law' at the Jean Monnet Center, NYU School of Law. For more information on the program, see reclei.europeanpapers.eu/reclei-works...
It was great to have Judge Damjan Kukovec of the General Court at the CJEU as a guest in our European Judicial Protection class. Thought-provoking, candid, and inspiring β we are grateful for his visit and the rich discussion on the rule of law, judicial decision making and more! @rug.nl
πβ¨ I am still stunned and absolutely thrilled that the Dutch Research Council (NWO) awarded me a Veni grant of 320 000 EUR. Keep watching this space for more on women's economic empowerment & EU trade policy π¦ΈββοΈπ
