A really important story about how wonderful so much of civil society is in NI, how charity workers and volunteers in groups scrabbling around for pennies to keep the lights on make such a difference. And so profoundly depressing that this work goes unseen in the general image of NI.

Once again, the community and volunteer sector have been left to pick up the pieces, a sector that is already over stretched and deliberately underfunded. Meanwhile, well funded gangs who claim to represent community and the interest of "ordinary people" are tearing the city apart.
