Kids love to ask who would play Bonnie (the 11 year old protagonist of my kid's book series) in a movie. And they always seem nonplussed when I explain that - at best - it would be an 8 year old who no one has heard of. So now I just say Michael Caine.
me to my youngest:
“you like ducks huh?”
“yeah”
“is it because you’re a duck?”
[she looks at me, indignant]
“no! it’s because…quack.” [runs off]
