And I imagine I would do worse at any modern versions...

Would not be obscure to say King Koopa (NOT Bowser) = Scott Sorrell or Falco (Starfox) = Brad Hawthorne.
How bout General Slaughter (Battletoads) = Tony Durham? No, really, though it makes more sense if you saw my art style at that time.

When I was small, a quick snack my mother would make was sliced frankfurters boiled/sauteed (not sure, I was young) in soy sauce. Which I called shoyu weenies.
It wasn't until a particular episode of Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law that my husband had to explain what that phrase meant NOW...
