A minimum of 21.3ºC at Kenley overnight beats the UK's highest May minimum record of 18.9ºC in 1947 by 2.4ºC, its own May station record by OVER 4ºC, its June record by 0.8ºC and the first tropical minimum recorded in the UK in May. Records are being smashed by some margin.
