Spanberger had a 500k vote lead in NOVA, and it’s basically impossible for Republicans to make up that kind of deficit across the rest of the state. Virginia now is what Georgia will look like in a decade given the in migration of professional, particularly Black professional, to the ATL metro.
Bigger story here is states like Virginia are undergoing what I call "de-south-ification." Spanberger's 15-point win shows power shifting away from rural areas in VA. Also to lesser extent in NC and GA. At some point Spanberger will have to address this rebellion.
