Though the rough cough and hiccough plough me through, I ought to laugh.
I have been writing a story that is told exclusively in monologues and it works wonderfully for that reason, probably a reason why it has become my most popular story by far! There's so much you can show just with speech and a few pauses, it cuts out all that is unneeded, leaving many gaps to fill!
