Anyone else getting loads of accounts randomly liking 3 completely separate posts at the same time?
My notifications are just full of generic looking accounts liking 3 things each :/
now they are specifically targeting people and families
the cops still think sitting back is the best approach, but now when they do it theyre letting this scumbags attack families and innocent people, rather than stepping in to protect them
sitting back isnt the safer option anymore
it used to be that a riot would start, cops would stay on the defensive, collect camera footage the whole time, then just rock up later & arrest the people afterwards, when they were at home or at work
it worked because rioters would target the cops with stones/fireworks, and ignore everything else
Cops in Northern Ireland were once among the best in the world at riot control, because they realized that hanging back & collecting evidence led to rioters getting tired & just leaving
... because the rioters were targeting the police
but NOW theyre targeting people. doing nothing costs lives
they finally said later starting shifts have been cancelled (sorry, their exact words were "you can stay home if you want") and theyll prob be closing early
Lot of confusion in the work group chat over whether we're working this evening after, yknow, city wide race riots that are continuing on through today
