We can’t allow horrific and tragic incidents to continue to be used as an excuse by the far right and bad actors to cause violence and destruction in our cities, we’ve seen it in Dublin, we’ve seen it in Liverpool, and we’ve seen it across the past three years in Belfast.
POLL: Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks (Feb 27, MoE 2.8%) Sinn Féin 22 (+2 in four weeks) Fianna Fáil 18 Fine Gael 17 (-1) Social Democrats 11 (+1) Aontú 6 Ind Ireland 5 (-1) Labour 4 Greens 4 (+1) PBP-Solidarity 3 (+1) Inds/others 11
Communities shouldn’t have to live in fear of violence because of events that have nothing to do with them. We’re thinking today of those in Belfast who don’t feel safe to go outside right now, who are worried their house might be the target of the next arson attack, who are facing racist abuse.
