From 7–15 June, #Romans honoured #Vesta, goddess of the hearth & sacred flame.
At the circular Temple of Vesta in the Forum, the Vestal Virgins tended the eternal flame, believed to protect Rome itself.
Women visited the temple barefoot to offer prayers for their households. 🕯️
