Looking forward to see all your experimental faces at @amazefest.bsky.social very soon! ππΎ

Love that this #VFX gets plenty of screentime. Some VFX in games are so snappy (for good reasons of course) that it's hard to enjoy all their neat details sometimes.

oh and #Unity also supports #oklab. Change the gradient color mode to Perceptual (Blend)
In case youβve never heard of #Oklab or #Oklch: among other benefits, they help smooth out transitions between colors. You won't get muddy gradients on your particles or unintentional spikes in brightness (aka value).
Oklab was developed by @bottosson.bsky.social. π
Volume Color Editor is the best #OKLCH color picker and palette generator Iβve seen. Itβs really neat how you can combine patterns!

Itβs available as a standalone web tool and now as a #Figma plugin, too.

This Dune scene breakdown by director Denis Villeneuve is so enjoyable to watch. This small glimpse into the intent and care behind a single scene shows what would be lost if algorithms took over design decisions to speed up production

Dune 1984 version to compare
New shader editor on the block! -> fragcoord.xyz is heaven-sent!
I love that, for each variable I get a visualization of the values and also a preview similar to node-based editors like in Unity/Unreal.
On top of that @xordev.com is insanely quick at implementing feature requests π
