BBC Balloons flew away today 04/01/97 - 28/03/02. Flying over iconic landmarks throughout the UK they introduced BBC1 TV programmes. As the whole world focused its attention on #BirmINgham in May 1998 the balloon took flight over Pebble Mill to celebrate hosting #Eurovision + #G8 on Midlands Today.
