1/3 Judicial review is meant to help people challenge unlawful decisions by public bodies.
But today, it’s simply too expensive for most. PLP research from 2019 found that an average case can cost £30,000+. Today it is likely to be more costly. This puts justice out of reach for many.

Last year, we submitted evidence highlighting ongoing barriers to access to justice — including lack of face-to-face advice, digital exclusion and gaps in provision.
1/ We’re proud to represent @the3million.bsky.social in its proposed legal challenge to the Home Secretary over policies restricting the travel rights of EU citizens who made the UK their home before Brexit — rights meant to be protected under the Withdrawal Agreement.
