My mental health issues. Forest was my biggest cheerleader. He really believed in what I made and thought I had a real gift, but I struggled to convert that gift into anything that even resembled meaningful growth.
That among a lot of other junk left me in a spiraling depressive funk.
I came to Washington from Alaska, alone and entering into what could have been a very scary living situation that thankfully was not because I was absurdly lucky to have been met with immense kindness and love and opportunity. I got training, and I pursued making music and tried to make sense of
I firmly believe I am not deserving of this kindness. I firmly believe that in a world where everyone is constantly struggling, it is unjustifiable for me to ask anyone for money. But I'm also struggling and kinda lost. So I'm really sorry for being a bit of a hypocrite here.
