Somewhere I hear the faint sound of some ex colleagues exploding with excitement after the KH4 trailer reveal.
How did I end up with 5 ball pythons, 5 corn snakes, a mexican black snake, a pacific house gecko, a leopard gecko, a crested gecko, a blue-tongued skink, 2 cats (generic black void type) and a puppy (Lagotto)? The latest addition is madagascan cockroaches (massive but docile). We are a zoo.
I have never seen the UK so unbothered about a World Cup before. It's giving me 2020 vibes, when we all just decided special occasions didn't count that year and wrote the whole thing off.
I have been absolutely won over by the adaptation of Dame Jilly Cooper's Rivals. It started off as affairs, backstabbing, rivalry, and general chaos, and it's become something so much deeper exploring love, power, sexuality, and betrayal. Incredibly well written and well acted.
Wait, no more until NOVEMBER. That's MEAN.
I'd have to write an article every 30 minutes just to earn minimum wage. Many also require you to generate ideas, self edit, format, do SEO and even promote as well as write. This is a recipe for terrible content and writer burnout. I literally can't afford to do this job any more.
This article talks as if the cause isn't clear. The cost of living has drastically increased in recent years and wages have not. Many households are struggling to afford to pay for necessities such as rent, food, and utilities. We have nothing left to save. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
I have been writing randomly in recent months. We are talking short stories, opinion pieces, blog posts, outlines of projects, sections of a memoir. It seems that 8 years in games journalism has given me a weird and useless superpower. Everything comes out at 1000 words, give or take 10%.
I love this assumption that ND people get a diagnosis to "get drugs". How bold of you to assume that a) an autism diagnosis gets you any drugs you'd not have access to otherwise and b) that any of us remember to take medication.
When you get a job offer... which is paying $4 an article. That's now the fourth job offer I've had. All are advertised as paid work but all of them have been less than $11 an article. It's truly a race to the bottom in games journalism right now.
