Let me be clear, 100% of our caucus, including me, hates the position that the recent court decision has put us in. I believe in a path forward, to address the legal risk and to continue the work to grow our economy while addressing injustices that have impacted Indigenous people for generations.

BC proudly hosts some of the largest Vaisakhi celebrations in the world. From neighbourhood gatherings at gurdwaras to large-scale Nagar Kirtans, these events showcase the spirit of the Sikh community and warmly welcome people of all backgrounds to take part.

Vaisakhi also celebrates the harvest in Punjab. This festival of harvest, called by different names is also marked in other parts of India where people come together to give thanksgiving and celebrate abundance.
