When a dragon has just 1 hit point and a maze of obstacles, combat is like an open-ended puzzle. The challenge: the player characters only have 1 hit point too—and the dragon has a lot fewer obstacles.

I was talking today to one of the earliest AP creators about sunsetting projects that reached a natural end.
Digital Humanists have talked about this for a while. Everything human-scaled has some kind of end, or change.
I’ve seen a lot of endings. They’re never easy.
