Note on Bryant: Seahawks will get their Super Bowl rings tonight.
At the very end of practice, LB Nephi Sewell picked off a Tyson Bagent pass in a team session. With several linebackers out this week, Sewell got some opportunities to show what he can do.
Situation: Bears down two scores with 4 min. Caleb throws deep to Burden, who makes a running catch. Burden thought he had a TD. Refs marked him down at the 5 (no tackling).
Burden was arguing his case and Caleb wasn’t afraid to bark at Burden to get on side for a spike.
Big guys catching passes!
The Bears offseason program is in the books. What did we learn?
Here are some big-picture takeaways.
Caleb Williams on this play: “Just trying to reel him back in. I saw from a distance that two refs were saying two different things.”
“That happens often and I’m just doing my part,” Williams said.
ICYMI: The offseason is in the books. Chicago Bears hype? Ben Johnson doesn't care about hype.
His QB is on the Madden cover?
"No reaction," Johnson said.
The coach is doubling down on the things that have worked for him. Here's more.
Travis Kelce couldn’t help but rave about Caleb Williams’ tight end duo of Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland.
“Two absolute dogs,” Kelce said on the “New Heights” podcast.
Williams, their guest last week, interjected.
“There’s more,” he said. “There’s always more. We got a new guy.”
Bears minicamp is officially over. Coby Bryant was not out there today, otherwise attendance was same as yesterday.
D’Marco Jackson remains out after tweaking something Tuesday. No Kyler Gordon, Cam Lewis, Ruben Hyppolite, Keyshaun Elliott, Noah Sewell, Ozzy Trapilo or Shemar Turner.
Ben Johnson doesn't take much of a break in the summertime between OTAs and training camp.
He said everything the Bears have run so far is pretty vanilla. Summertime is when he comes up with his best ideas.
He noted he's excited to pick Studesville's brain about MIA run game.
