Twitter’s algorithm creates a feedback loop on contentious posts. The most contentious posts tend to be divisive oversimplifications that demonise entire groups of people.

Facebook, Twitter etc don't deserve the legitimacy that comes from UK Government use. Anyway, online social conversation is now dispersed away from walled gardens - and that's okay.
