The discussion on Rayman reminded me of how the SMB series was also held hostage in the late 2010s. The future of this series hinged on the success of a hastily-made, inferior remake of an already divisive game, one of the most contentious in the series.

Y'all made me WORK for this one, but tbh I'm really happy to see so many people pulled up for Puyo Puyo. This is the liveliest Festival has felt since... I wanna say Tangle/Whisper's? Interested to see what the rough player attendance was this time around.
Hoping DRE isn't gutted too hard in the next patch, not because it's "broken", but bc active DRE just makes movement in this game so much more fun than it's ever been.
I could get curbstomped by DRE top players all day and still have fun bc max stat movement just FEELS great, win or loss.
The end of this month's SRCW event calendar makes these datamined decals wayyy more interesting...
But like even without these, I think Classic Sonic + IDW Round 2 is a pretty realistic expectation for an anniversary. We'll just have to wait and see what they have planned.

THE TRUMAN SHOW

Never really got around to watching this until my GF recommended it. REALLY great premise that's executed very well. A dark, twisted, and profound film that showcases one of Jim Carrey's best performances imo. I can see why so many people praise it.
EVERHOOD
⭐️ 7/10
This game wears its inspirations on its sleeve but still makes for an interesting experience. A nice little existential romp with a unique battle system and a psychedelic art direction that ties into its abstract themes.
