Feels like time to share a #painting "Wexford, Bull Ring" came out of several visits to the southeast of Ireland where I walked the town of Wexford's streets repeatedly until the sun agreed to shine. Why this spot? Because I like the shapes and stories of junctions. #SpeirGorm #ArtYear
News from Spain the last couple of days reminds me that in my two sketching trips to Barcelona I didn't sketch the Sagrada Familia. To not sketch it in my first visit may be regarded as a misfortune; to not sketch it in both visits looks like carelessness.
A #painting I finished and sold earlier this year. "Pen Corner" is a mixed media painting that came out of loving a building in Dublin that everybody loved, just not enough.

A Dublin #painting now. "Behind Glenauline" was painted a very long time ago. It's a back lane suburban scene less than 20 metres from where I sit now. The doors are long gone, replaced with more robust metal ones - but I still enjoy their shapes and shadow-play. #UrbanGaze #SpéirGhorm #ArtYear
