At the hearing in the federal courthouse in St. Paul. Fifteen people were indicted on conspiracy charges etc. and are making their first appearances. The courtroom is full, with about 100 people. Five defendants came into the courtroom, a couple with fists raised, which some in crowd mirrored. (1)

This is why rightwing grifters are going crazy boasting about “infiltrating” mutual aid and protest chats: The feds are using being in chats to participate in 100% legal activity (they didn’t conspire to obstruct, only collaborated to observe) as pretext for terrorism charges.
This is why press should not join these spaces or, if they do, they should not be publicly identifiable as themselves or as members of the press.
It’s a debate of traditional ethics (identifying as press) and safety (not being identifiable) and access to information.
