Big news! We have launched "Prince's Revolutionary Tale," a new audio tour for kids.
Narrated by Prince the Cat, this 20-minute tour invites children to discover Old North Church and its role in the American Revolution. The audio tour is included with admission to the church!
Margaret Coffin was a congregant at Old North Church and the owner of Pew 1. In 1838, Coffin started donating Books of Common Prayer to those in need so they could participate in religious services. Historians estimate that she gave away close to 3,000 books!

Margaret Coffin died in 1855, and one year later, the Margaret Coffin Prayer Book Society was formed using money left in her estate. The society continues to provide Prayer Books and hymnals to missions and institutions.
Today is the Freedom Trail's 75th birthday! The original idea for the trail came from Bill Schofield, a Boston Herald-Traveler writer, and Bob Winn, a member of the Old North Church, both of whom noticed the need for a clearer wayfinding tool for visiting Boston's historic sites.
From corruption to yellow journalism to political violence, our country has been here before and ultimately prevailed. By spotlighting the warts of the past with his characteristic humor, Prof. Jackson shows how resilient our nation can be.
