Good morning! How are you holding up? What are you up to today? I'm delighted: my first red delphinium just opened! This is a cultivar off D. nudicaule, probably 'Laurin' (some lost their tags, and of course the early bloomer is one! -- the other candidate is 'Fox'). Grown from seed this spring!
Good morning! How are you holding up? What are you up to today? The Western Tanagers are back in town! This is a bird that I admired in a bird book as a kid, never thinking that I would get to see one. They are summer visitors for us, and enjoy visiting the suet.
@janelindskold.bsky.social The paintbrush flowers are pairing nicely with the feverfew :) We have a few paintbrush species; I think this is a Harsh Paintbrush, which seems an unfair name for a lovely flower.

@jenniferhudak.bsky.social Congratulations!!!
Good morning! How are you holding up? What are you up to today? The foxgloves are blooming here. The bumblebees love them. They crawl up into the flower funnels, and vibrate madly. There is a steady, soothing buzz of hidden bees -- only glimpsed as they transition between flowers.
Good morning! How are you holding up? What are you up to today? My first salpiglossis flower of the year! I tried these for the first time last year, and doubled down although they’re a little persnickety. A few wintered over, and are larger plants, although a seedling plant has the first flower ;)
Good morning! How are you holding up? What are you up to today? The native Menzies' Larkspur I grew from seed is finally blooming -- in its 3rd spring. I probably could have gotten it up to scratch sooner if I had (1) realized it was summer dormant and (2) given it better slug protection.
Good morning! How are you holding up? What are you up to today? The local berry farm has opened their farm stand! These taste homegrown, and are one of our joys for a few weeks in late spring/early summer :)
@janelindskold.bsky.social It’s fawn season. We think this little one was less than an hour old. It was very wobbly! Captured on the ring camera :)

The gentian flowers lasted a month — pretty impressive given both the size and color intensity. Even permanently closed, the flowers are still neat. Hoping for seeds! These pretties are perennials, but I wouldn’t mind more… ;)
