The idea was to make the book appear like an old spellbook, with scribbled annotations and antique bookbinding elements.

I wanted the endpapers to look like marbled paper, but instead of making or sourcing it like a normal person, I took the unhinged option and *hand painted* it, just so I could weave spooky creature shapes into the marbling :)
