Fate is what got me into game design. I loved mucking about with its hyper-elegant mechanics. The first thing I released was a tiny fan hack for Bulldogs! (a third-party Fate game).
Looking forward to checking out Umdaar, and I'll continue to use Fate for inspiration. Not dead for me.
Obviously, I have thoughts on this, but no time to unpack them, so suffice it to say that I found this a great article, with an aside that made me straight up laugh.
