I did a panel earlier this year on character development, and the idea of "earned subversion," where there an "earned" payoff to keeping a characters traits very consistent for a long time, for the purpose of getting to make jokes way later on in their arc. This is my favorite example of this 😭😭

I do not care how much or when in the process a developer used genAI; I will immediately think less of them. Hard red line. And if they lied about it to hide the use, they will make an enemy for life
